Your upcoming short Amityville for Sale by Owner - in a few words, what's it about?

It’s part of an upcoming anthology with 10 directors and 10 short films, all Amityville spoofs.

What were your sources of inspiration when writing Amityville for Sale by Owner, and did you do any research on the actual Amityville myth prior to writing it?

No research necessary, we just knew we had to include the myth of Amityville somehow in the story without taking from the original movie. This had nothing to do with that one, it’s basically just a spoof and a spin-off.

Do talk about your short's approach to horror!

We did a comedic approach and included horror elements as well.

What can you tell us about your directorial approach to your story at hand?

I was the co-director and I acted on it but most of the directorial efforts were done by Paul C. Hemmes [Paul C. Hemmes interview - click here].

A few words about your co-director Paul C. Hemmes, and what was your collaboration like?

Well, we collaborated before on Scream Machine, so I knew going into it that it would go smoothly and be professional. We came out with a very well shot piece.

You also appear in front of the camera in Amityville for Sale by Owner - so what can you tell us about your character, what did you draw upon to bring him to life, and have you written him with yourself in mind from the get-go?

He is a strange house owner who just does corny things that nobody can explain. He also is battling a demon. I played him as a quirky nuttty kinda guy.

Do talk about the rest of your cast, and why exactly these people?

We used a lot of actors I used in prior films, so everything went smoothly.

What can you tell us about the shoot as such, and the on-set atmosphere?

We had no problems, everything went great and was very professional and fun.

According to my knowledge, Amityville for Sale by Owner will be released as part of the anthology Amitiverse: Infinity - so do talk about the anthology as a whole for a bit, how did you get involved, any any idea when and where it's going to be released yet?

It is part of a trilogy and will be released in the fall.

Any future projects you'd like to share?

I'm currently writing a new film but haven't titled it yet.

Anything else you're dying to mention and I have merely forgotten to ask?

That's it! I hope people check it out, I think fans will love it.

Thanks for the interview!
