Henry (David Graziano), key witness in an apparently big case (that's
not specified in the movie, nor does it need to), whiles away his days in
the middle of nowhere, USA, as part of the witness protection program -
and despite all the precautions the feds might (or might not) have taken
the guilty (or at least accused) party in the person of Lou (Fiore Leo)
manages to track him down. Thing is, once Lou makes himself known to Henry
and trains a gun at him, Henry doesn't at all react like he's supposed to
be. Rather, he points out the flaws in Lou's overall scheme and as his
last wish he asks for having a proper pee. Thing is, has he really just
resigned to his fate, or is there method to his madness? The
premise of this short is really just a standard crime drama situation, and
to be sure the film has all the suspense mopments in all the right places
- but that said, the dialogue is anything but standard, as it's funny as
heck (without going moronic despite the many bathroom jokes) and quite
poignant when it comes to genre mainstays. And besides the genre savvy yet
subtle direction, it's really the performances that bring this piece to
life, as basically this is an actors' film - and a very good one at that.
