Lovers on the run Sahara (Jayla Mosely) and Jacob (Ryan Drake) find
themselves mysteriously transported to another galaxy that's reigned by
civil war between the forces of good King Amberic and evil King Argonne
(both played by Forest Hudson III). Fortunately, the forces of King
Amberic grant Sahara and Jacob asylum, as despite being strangers to this
neck of the woods, Sahara, through her ancestry, seems to be a center
piece of the war, and King Argonne and his ruthless daughter Princess
Draynerius (Maria Cainen) are desperate to get their hands on her ...
Now I will admit Family Survival's plot is a little
hard to follow, as at a running time of a mere 70 minutes, it's filled to
the brim with more intrigue than even Shakespeare could shake a stick at,
and also the special effects aren't always up to the movie's ambitions.
And yet, this is an utterly charming movie, thanks to the sheer amount of
imagination put into it as well as the sincerity of its story and
storytelling, coupled with the sheer boldness of the project. In all,
probably not flawless but very likeable indeed.
