Rimmer (Chris Barry) crashlands on a Psy-moon, a planet with the ability to
terraform itself according to the mind of the person who has set foot onto it
... & since Rimmer is plagued by fears, self-doubt & anger, it's quite
a grim place, so he soon ends up crucified /& about to be electrocuted ...
only when his crewmates from the Red Dwarf, the last human Lister (Craig
Charles), the humanoid cat Cat (Danny John-Jules) & the humanoid robot
Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) come to save him, is his self-doub overcome long
enough to free him from his crucifix ... but to get their shuttle away from the
planet, the others have to convince Rimmer that they love him, which they do
only just ... even though it's a blatant lie.
Despite the foreseeable & sappy finale, & many missed opportunities
in telling its story, this is one of the better episodes of Red Dwarf's
not so great season 5.
